High Protein Pancakes

I don’t think that there is a single person out there who doesn’t enjoy eating pancakes for breakfast, not only are they delicious but they are also very filling. The main problem with regular pancakes is that their nutritional content isn’t the best for bodybuilding purposes so I decided to do some research and after experimenting and playing around with a few recipes and ingredients I managed to cook a high protein pancake that contains incredible macronutrients but also tastes incredible. This particular recipe just like the banana milkshake is great for anyone who doesn’t have the time to prepare meals in between school and work.


*Preparation Time: 20 minutes

 

*Ingredients

-1 Large Banana

-1 Cup of raw Oatmeal

-4 raw Eggs

-2 Tablespoons of Natural Vanilla flavoring

-1 Tablespoon of butter

-1 Tablespoon of Cinnamon (Optional)

-1 Tablespoon of Honey   (Optional)


*Instructions

Step 1: In a blender add one large banana, one cup of raw oatmeal, four raw eggs and two tablespoons of natural vanilla flavoring. Blend mixture for one minute and a half.

Step 2: Heat up a medium sized pan and add a tablespoon of butter, this is a natural and healthy way to keep the pancake from sticking while giving it a delicious buttery flavor.

Step 3: Add the mixture into the pan and let it cook for about a minute, after this flip it to the other side and let it sit for another minute.

Step 4: Flip the pancake back to its original cooking side, let it sit for another two to three minutes and then repeat on the other side for the same time duration.

Step 5: Remove pancake from the pan and place into a plate.

Step 6 (Optional):  If you wish add a tablespoon of cinnamon and a tablespoon of honey on to the pancake; you can also add any type of fruit or syrup on top.

*Other Information

 

-The optional items and butter are not included in the nutritional information because they are added after the pancake is cooked, that said, they will not make a significant improvement in the macros, they can simply make the pancake taste better. The same thing applies for the vanilla flavoring.

-If you want to double the macros from this recipe try having this pancake as a meal along with our banana milkshake, not only will these two meals help you reach your daily macros but they also taste incredible.

-If you want to add an extra source of protein to your pancake add a scoop of your favorite vanilla flavored whey protein when doing the mixing step.
